A Prayer of Anticipation for the Coming Lord

Inspire me, O God, to persist in my calling, to serve without seeking recognition or reward from men, for it is You alone whom I seek to please. Heavenly Father, while I await Your glorious return, I acknowledge my struggles, shortcomings, and moments of doubt. However, I cling to the hope made evident in Your promise. Help me to remember that every trial I face is a test of faith, sharpening my character and drawing me closer to You. In my imperfections, let me lean into Your grace, knowing that when the time comes, You will reward my labor of love accordingly.

As I conclude my prayer, I want to raise my eyes to Heaven and declare my devotion to You, Lord. May my heart always be turned toward You as my true north. Teach me to live expectantly, not in fear, but in love, as I wait for the glorious and blessed hope to be revealed.
