A Prayer for Unmerited Grace and Humility

O gracious and loving Father,
As I come before Your throne this day, my heart is filled with reverence and awe, inspired by the humility expressed in the words of Ruth as she fell upon her face, bowed to the ground, and uttered, "Why have I found grace in thine eyes, that thou shouldest take knowledge of me, seeing I am a stranger?" In moments of doubt where I feel like a stranger—isolated and forgotten help me to remember that I am never alone. For You are the one who sees me, who knows me, even when the world overlooks me. Teach me to seek refuge in Your Word, to lean on Your promises, and to find comfort in Your presence. Oh Lord, as I navigate through life’s uncertainties, grant me the assurance that I am included in Your family, where Your grace transcends all barriers.

May I extend the grace I have received to those around me, particularly to strangers and those in need. Prompt me to act like Boaz, offering kindness and compassion, knowing that my actions reflect my love for You. May I respond to the cries of the marginalized and the downtrodden, actively seeking to lift them up as You have lifted me.
Oh Lord, as I reflect on Ruth’s journey, I ask that You guide my steps, just as You guided her. May I have the fortitude to persevere through trials, steadfast in my faith, recognizing that Your grace is sufficient for me. Help me to stay anchored in hope, believing that as I walk in obedience, I too can find favor in Your eyes.
In closing, I praise You for Your eternal grace which prevails over every circumstance. Continue to shape my heart, Lord, that I may marvel at Your goodness and fall before You in gratitude, acknowledging that I am a stranger, yet I have found grace in the eyes of my Redeemer.
