Then we have **Eshean**, which is believed to convey the idea of "ashamed" or "iron." This city might remind us of the times of shame we experience from our past mistakes or sins. Even in feelings of shame, we can recall 2 Corinthians 5:17, which tells us that if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. Like Eshean, we too can experience transformation and rise above our past failures. Embracing our identity in Christ allows us to face the stronger 'iron' of our current trials unafraid and without shame, knowing our worth is rooted in Him.

These cities, as diverse as they are in meaning, collectively point to a wholeness that God desires for us in our journey of faith. Each city represents a facet of the spiritual inheritance we possess: abundance, stillness, and redemption.

As we meditate on Joshua 15:52, let us consider which "city" we need to dwell in today. Are we seeking the life that comes from intimacy with God, living out our faith in abundance? Do we need to intentionally visit the stillness of Dumah, carving out sacred hours to quiet our souls before the Lord?
