O Lord of Hosts,

As I bow before You today, my heart is filled with reverence and awe for Your majesty and might. You are the King eternal, immortal, and invisible, the only wise God. I come before You in humility, seeking Your guidance and strength, for You are the source of all wisdom and the foundation of all courage.

In 1 Chronicles 11:42, we learn of Adina, the son of Shiza the Reubenite, a captain of the Reubenites, who led a valiant group of thirty alongside him. Lord, I pray that You would instill in me the qualities of leadership exemplified in this verse. I ask for the courage of Adina, who stood as a captain among his people during times of challenge and uncertainty. May I be bold in my own life to take on the challenges that come my way, leading with integrity and strength, just as he did.

Father, I recognize that leadership is not merely about authority but about service, sacrifice, and the unwavering commitment to those we lead. Help me to remember that true leadership comes with the heavy responsibility of caring for others, just as Adina must have cared for those under his command. Grant me a heart that is compassionate and attentive, one that seeks to uplift and encourage others in their journeys.

Lord, as Adina led the Reubenites, I seek to fulfill the calling You have placed upon my life. Whether it be in my family, workplace, or within my community, I desire to be a beacon of Your light. Show me how to inspire others, to rally those around me for a common cause that glorifies Your name and reflects Your love. Just as Adina had thirty comrades with him, help me to build relationships and foster unity among those I work with, reminding us all that together we can achieve far greater things than we could alone.

I pray for the men and women in positions of authority and leadership in our communities and our nations. May they embody the courage and passion that Adina demonstrated. Let them serve selflessly, always seeking the good of those they lead. Lord, as You guided your chosen leaders throughout Scripture, guide our leaders today with Your divine wisdom. May they lead with integrity, justice, and compassion, ever mindful of the weight of their responsibility.

Help me, Lord, to cultivate the spirit of valor and resilience within my soul. Life presents numerous battles, and there are often moments when fear and doubt grip my heart. Father, I ask that You would lift me up in those moments, strengthening my resolve and filling me with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Remind me daily that with You by my side, I can face any challenge that comes my way and, like Adina, I can rise to the occasion.

In addition, Lord, I pray for the ‘thirty’ companions in our lives. May I recognize and appreciate those who stand firm with me amid adversity. Help us to encourage one another, to hold each other accountable, and to celebrate victories—both big and small. May we be as Adina’s band of warriors, committed to one another, steadfast and unwavering in our purpose.

Thank You, O God, for the examples You have given us in Your Word. May the story of Adina inspire us to live lives of purpose, courage, and conviction. Let us reflect Your glory in all we do and lead others by our example. I pray that my life may be a testament to Your greatness.
