Heavenly Father,

I reflect on the account of David in 1 Samuel 30:10, where it is written: "But David pursued, he and four hundred men: for two hundred abode behind, which were so faint that they could not go over the brook Besor." Lord, I seek to understand this passage deeply, and I desire to grasp the essence of perseverance and determination that is displayed in David's heart.

Father, I acknowledge that life often places us in circumstances that challenge our strength and resolve. Just as David and his men faced great adversity in the aftermath of loss, I too face trials that make me feel faint and weary.
