O Lord God Almighty,

We come before You this day, humbled and filled with reverence for Your mighty power and unending grace. As we reflect upon the words of 1 Samuel 7:10, we thank You for the assurance that You are with us, even in the most tumultuous times. "And as Samuel was offering up the burnt offering, the Philistines drew near to battle against Israel: but the LORD thundered with a great thunder on that day upon the Philistines, and discomfited them; and they were smitten before Israel." Lord, we recognize that in times of warfare and strife, our reliance must be solely on You, our King and Deliverer.

Just as You discomfited the enemies of Israel with a great and powerful sound, we pray for a similar demonstration of Your might in our own lives.

Lord, we ask that You would thunder against the forces of darkness that seek to encroach upon our peace and well-being. Silence the whispers of doubt and insecurity that come from the enemy.
