Almighty and Everlasting Father,

We humbly come before your throne of grace today, inspired by the wisdom of your Word in 2 Chronicles 1:17, which reveals your providence and the careful preparations made by those in authority. "And they fetched up, and brought forth out of Egypt a chariot for six hundred shekels of silver, and an horse for an hundred and fifty: and so brought they out horses for all the kings of the Hittites, and for the kings of Syria, by their means." Lord, this passage reminds us of how you orchestrate the affairs of men and nations, providing them with the means to fulfill their purposes according to your divine will.

We thank you for the resources you have entrusted to us, for the opportunities that abound, and for the wisdom that is available to those who seek you diligently. Just as Solomon demonstrated the strength of a well-equipped army through the gathering of resources, we recognize the importance of preparation and the use of our resources in our personal lives, our communities, and in service to you.

Lord, grant us the discernment and understanding that we may recognize the various ‘chariots’ and ‘horses’ available to us in our lives. Help us to see what you are providing each day—whether it be people, skills, opportunities, or the material things that aid in our journey. We often find ourselves in need yet unaware of the abundance that surrounds us. Open our eyes to see your hand at work in every situation, and teach us to be good stewards of the blessings you bestow upon us.

As we seek to fulfill our callings, we ask for your guidance in utilizing these resources wisely. Help us to prioritize what is important and valuable, just as Solomon prepared for the requirements of his reign. Let our choices reflect our understanding of your purpose for us, that we may do all things to your glory and honor. May we not hoard your blessings for our own selfish ends, but may we share them generously, as you have shared your love and grace with us.

Lord, fortify our hearts with courage and humility as we face the challenges of our days. Give us the strength and wisdom to seek help when needed, just as the kings of the Hittites and Syria turned to Solomon. Let us not operate in isolation but foster relationships that encourage collaboration and growth.

We pray for the leaders of our communities, our nations, and every sphere of influence. Empower them to make wise decisions that reflect justice, equity, and a deep understanding of the needs of the people they serve. Protect them from corruption and self-interest, and bless them with advisors who impart godly counsel. Remind us always that true leadership is about service and sacrifice, not power and possession.

In all our endeavors, let us anchor our faith in you, trusting that you are a God who provides. You are aware of our every need, and we take comfort knowing that we can approach your throne with boldness, asking for guidance and provision. We commit our plans to you, believing firmly that you will direct our steps according to your will.

Heavenly Father, as we strive to achieve our goals and fulfill our purposes, help us look unto Jesus—the ultimate source of wisdom and strength. May our actions be aligned with your purposes, and may our hearts remain humble, recognizing that every good and perfect gift comes from you.
