We marvel at her courage to protect Joash, the heir to the throne amidst chaos and destruction. As we meditate on this account, we appeal to You, O Lord, for Your divine protection and guidance in our lives, mirroring the example set by Jehoshabeath in times of peril.

Jehovah, You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in times of trouble. Just as Jehoshabeath took swift action to safeguard Joash from Athaliah's ruthless hand, we seek Your unfailing protection over our loved ones. May Your mighty angels encamp around those we hold dear, sheltering them from harm and shielding them from the forces that seek to destroy. In a world that often feels akin to a battlefield, filled with treachery and despair, we trust in Your sovereign power to save and deliver.

Lord, we acknowledge that Jehoshabeath's actions were not born out of mere impulse but were rooted in her deep faith in You. I pray for a heart that mirrors her unwavering belief. Help us, O God, to stand firm in our convictions, even when the world around us seems to descend into chaos. Grant us the wisdom to know when to act and the courage to do so decisively. As Jehoshabeath hid Joash safely away, may we too find refuge and security in You, embracing Your promise that no weapon formed against us shall prosper.
