O Lord Almighty, the sovereign Creator of the universe, we come before You with hearts filled with reverence and gratitude. As we turn our attention to Your holy Word, and specifically to 2 Chronicles 31:14, we are reminded of the significance of stewardship and the sacred duty entrusted to Your servants: "And Kore the son of Imnah the Levite, the porter toward the east, was over the freewill offerings of God, to distribute the oblations of the LORD, and the most holy things."

In this verse, we see the call of Kore, a Levite appointed to oversee the sacred offerings meant for You, O Lord. His role as a porter and steward speaks of the importance of responsibility, trust, and dedication in the service of Your kingdom. We recognize that, like Kore, each of us has been called to serve in our own unique capacities and that our gifts and offerings, whether large or small, are precious in Your sight.

Heavenly Father, we pray that You would cultivate in us a heart of generosity, one that reflects Your boundless grace and love. Help us, O God, to embrace the idea of freewill offerings—not just in the context of giving our financial resources, but also in offering our time, talents, and whole lives in service to You and to each other. Turn our hearts from selfishness and greed, and instead make us vessels of Your goodness. Teach us to give freely and joyfully, for it is in giving that we align ourselves with Your will and purpose.

Lord, we seek to understand the significance of the offerings that we present before You. As Kore was tasked with distributing the oblations of the LORD and the most holy things, guide our hearts to seek ways in which we can contribute to the work of Your kingdom. May we always remember that our contributions, whenever made with sincerity and a pure heart, are not merely physical gifts but expressions of our love and commitment to the sacredness of our relationship with You.

We also pray for those in positions of responsibility, just as Kore held a significant role as a Levite. Strengthen the leaders and ministers in our churches, and all who guide the faithful in the distribution of Your grace. Endow them with wisdom, integrity, and a deep understanding of their calling, that they may shepherd Your people with honor and accountability. Help them to recognize the responsibility they bear in overseeing what You have entrusted to them—not only in material goods, but in sharing the gospel and offering spiritual nourishment to the community.

Father, there are many around us in need of nourishment, hope, and love. Help us to be sensitive to the call to share from our abundance and to reach out to those who are hurting. Instill in us a spirit of compassion, that we might echo the love of Christ in our actions. Let us not ignore the cries of the needy, but instead respond with a willing heart, ready to serve and to offer what we can.

As we reflect on the essence of service that is empowered by Your Spirit, remind us, Lord, that it is not the amount we give that matters, but the attitude of our hearts. May we aspire to give from a place of abundance within us, knowing that our generosity will be multiplied in the lives of those who receive. Let our acts of service be infused with Your love and grace, making them holy and acceptable unto You.

In closing, we lift our lives unto You, O Lord, as living sacrifices. May we be encouraged by the legacy of Kore and the Levites, and inspired to pursue a life of dedicated service to You. Grant us the joy of being used by You for Your glory, and help us to carry forth the sacred offerings of our lives into the world, spreading Your holy light in every corner of our community.
