You have said, "Then will I pluck them up by the roots out of my land which I have given them; and this house, which I have sanctified for my name, will I cast out of my sight, and will make it to be a proverb and a byword among all nations."

In Your infinite wisdom, You remind us that disobedience carries profound repercussions. We fear the thought of being uprooted—of being taken from the land blessed by Your presence. We beseech You to strengthen the roots of our faith, to cultivate a spirit of obedience in our hearts, and to instill in us a desire for holiness. May we no longer take Your blessings for granted and instead approach every day with gratitude and reverence for the grace You have extended to us.

We pray for the church as a whole, Lord. Enable us to be a reflection of Your glory, not a source of ridicule. May our lives and our communal worship rise as sweet incense before You, drawing others to the light that emanates from our faith.
