O Sovereign Lord, God of Israel, the Creator of the heavens and the earth, I come before You in humility and reverence. Lord, I pray for those who, like me, may find themselves at a crossroads. In moments of uncertainty, may Your voice be as clear as it was to the messenger in 2 Kings. Remove doubt from our hearts, and help us trust that You have a plan far greater than ours. Surround us with wise counselors and spiritual guides who can affirm and direct us according to Your will. Let our hearts be open to their guidance as well as to Your word.
I also pray for the leaders in our communities and nations. Just as the "man that sent you" sought wisdom, may those in positions of authority seek after You diligently for the guidance they need to steer their people with justice and integrity. Empower them to hear what You have to say, that they may act justly in their leadership.
In closing, Lord, I thank You for being a God who desires communication with His people. Help me to cultivate a listening heart, ready to embrace whatever You reveal.
