Lord, when we make mistakes, as Ahaziah did, help us to learn from them and turn back to You in repentance. Let our hearts be aligned with Your will, so that our efforts lead to improvement and joy rather than heartache.
Father, I thank You for the historical accounts in Scripture, for they serve as powerful reminders of our human frailty. Help us to turn to You in all things, trusting that You can use even the most vulnerable among us for Your glory. May we remember that leadership is about servanthood and that true leaders are those who lay down their crowns for others.
