Almighty God, Creator of Heaven and Earth, we come before You today in reverence and humility, recognizing Your sovereignty over all things. We gather our thoughts and hearts, acknowledging Your presence in our lives, as we meditate on the words spoken to Your servant David, as recorded in 2 Samuel 7:5: "Go and tell my servant David, Thus saith the LORD, Shalt thou build me an house for me to dwell in?"

Lord, we recognize that You are the ultimate authority in our lives. You know our hearts and our desires, and You see every intention of our being. Just as David was a man after Your own heart, we aspire to be devoted to You in our thoughts, actions, and service.
