Heavenly Father,

I come before You in humility and reverence, reflecting on the profound and transformative moment captured in Acts 8:35, where Philip, filled by Your Spirit, opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus. Lord, I thank You for the example set by Philip—his willingness to engage, to share Your Word, and to illuminate the truth of the Gospel.

My heart is heavy with the burden of those around me who, like the Ethiopian eunuch, are seeking understanding but may lack the guidance they need. I pray that I may, like Philip, be a vessel of Your truth. Equip me with courage and wisdom to speak of You to the lost and the searching. Let my mouth not be silenced by fear or doubt, but rather, may it be filled with Your love and the passion of evangelism.

As I reflect on Philip's unwavering commitment, Lord, stir within me the desire to open my mouth and share the Good News of Jesus Christ. Let the Scriptures be ever-present in my heart and mind, so that when I converse with others, I may always be ready to point them to Jesus. Lord, grant me the understanding of the Scriptures as I study them. Illuminate my heart and mind that I may see Your revelations and mysteries hidden within the pages of the Bible. I think of the Ethiopian eunuch, whose heart was open to hearing about Jesus. I pray for those in my life—friends, family, colleagues—who may be in a parched land desperately in need of Your presence. Let my interactions lead to opportunities where I can introduce them to Jesus, just as Philip did.

Father, I implore You to deepen my love for others. Help me to see them through Your eyes, to understand their struggles, their pains, and their needs. Empower me to approach these conversations with grace, mercy, and love. May my aim always be to preach Jesus, who is the hope for the hopeless and the answer to every question.
