O Sovereign Lord, Creator of Heaven and Earth,
As I approach Your throne of grace, I do so with a heart full of reverence and awe at Your greatness. In the midst of my challenges, remind me of Your promises. Just as You were with Daniel in the lion’s den, sending Your angel to shut the mouths of the lions, I trust that You will intervene in my life. Train my heart to declare with conviction, ‘Thy God whom thou servest continually, he will deliver thee.’ May I lean not on my own understanding, but in all my ways acknowledge You, knowing that You will make my paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6).
