O God, we also reflect on the compelling imagery of You bearing us as a father bears his son. Thank You for the intimate relationship You have bestowed upon us; You are not a distant deity but a caring and loving Father who knows each of us by name. In Your embrace, we find solace. As a father nurtures and strengthens his child, so have You nurtured us through our trials and tribulations. We acknowledge the wilderness experiences of our lives when we felt lost, forsaken, or burdened.
