O Sovereign Lord, God of all creation, we come before You today with heavy hearts, bearing the weight of our transgressions and the sorrow of our actions. We reflect on the profound words spoken through Your prophet Ezekiel: "That thou hast slain my children, and delivered them to cause them to pass through the fire for them?" (Ezekiel 16:21 KJV). These words resonate deeply within us, reminding us of the grave consequences of our unfaithfulness to You and the sacred gift of life You have entrusted to us.

Father, we acknowledge that as a nation and as individuals, we have often strayed from Your path. We have been complicit in the practices that harm the vulnerable, the innocent children who look to us for protection and love. We recognize the ways in which we've allowed apathy and indifference to seep into our lives, choosing to ignore the cries of the innocent while pursuing our desires. Forgive us, Lord, for the times we have sacrificed our children on the altars of convenience, ambition, or ignorance—allowing them to endure suffering that could have been prevented.

We come before You, O God, with repentant hearts, lamenting the loss of innocence among our youth. We grieve for those who have been exploited, abused, and cast aside as if they were mere commodities rather than the precious creations of Your hand. We cry out for the children who have been led astray, for the lives that have been marred by the fires of addiction, neglect, and despair. How can we stand idly by while their lives burn in the flames of devastation? Restore our compassion and ignite in us a fervent desire to see every child nurtured in love and cared for with the utmost diligence.

Lord, we ask for Your mercy upon us, knowing we cannot undo the harm that has been done, but we plead for You to heal the wounds inflicted upon our society and our hearts. Let us be agents of change, courageously standing against the darkness that seeks to consume the lives of the most innocent among us. Give us the strength to speak out against injustice and to champion the cause of those who cannot defend themselves. Empower us to be voices of hope and counselors to the brokenhearted, leading them back to the safety and security found in Your embrace.

We beseech You, Divine Protector, to blanket our children with Your loving-kindness. Surround them with Your angels and guard their hearts and minds. Teach us how to provide environments where they can flourish and grow without fear and pain. May we cultivate spaces of love and learning, where Your wisdom can shine brightly and illuminate their paths.

Let our hearts be transformed, O God, so that we might see the world through Your eyes—eyes that overflow with grace and compassion. Help us to recognize the humanity in each child we encounter, to regard them not as mere possessions, but as Your beloved creations. May we consistently choose to act in ways that honor their dignity and foster their well-being.

As we reflect on the devastating power of our choices, we commit ourselves anew to the revival of our spirits. Awaken us, Lord, to our collective responsibilities to care for the least of these. May the fires that once claimed innocence be quenched by Your love and righteousness. Restore to us the joy of prevention and true guardianship, leading us to effectively advocate for the protection and flourishing of every life entrusted to our care.
