Heavenly Father,

I come before You in humble reverence, acknowledging Your sovereignty and the depth of Your wisdom. As I meditate on the words of Ezekiel 17:2, where You instruct Your prophet, "Son of man, put forth a riddle, and speak a parable unto the house of Israel,” I am reminded of the power of Your Word and the significance of the messages hidden within riddle and parable. Lord, I ask for the heart of understanding, for I know that within these divine proclamations lies the essence of Your truth.

O Lord, as I attempt to grasp the meaning of the riddle and the parable, I invite the Holy Spirit to guide my understanding. Your Word is not just ink on a page; it is alive, sharp, and active, able to penetrate my heart and soul. So I pray that You give me the grace to hear what You are speaking to me through these ancient words. Unlock the mysteries of Your heart, Father, that I may gain insight into the lessons You have woven into this text. Father, may I have the same conviction and courage to speak truth when others may falter. Help me to embody Your Word in a way that inspires, uplifts, and encourages others. Grant me the strength to speak life into dry bones, much like You did with Ezekiel.
