A Prayer for Deliverance and Remembrance
"Unto the men of the east with the Ammonites, and will give them in possession, that the Ammonites may not be remembered among the nations." - Ezekiel 25:10

Heavenly Father,
As I come before your divine presence today, I humbly bow my heart and spirit, seeking your guidance and grace. I reflect on the powerful words from Ezekiel 25:10, which remind us of your justice and sovereignty over nations: "Unto the men of the east with the Ammonites, and will give them in possession, that the Ammonites may not be remembered among the nations."
Lord, I understand that this scripture speaks of the fate you ordained for the Ammonites, a people who strayed from your ways, who engaged in idolatry and hostility against your chosen ones. As you declared your judgment upon them, I am reminded of the seriousness of your judgment against sin. I pray that we, too, may not find ourselves in a position to be cast out or forgotten.
Father, I beseech you to examine our hearts and reveal any hidden sin that may linger within us. Illuminate the dark corners of our souls where resentment, bitterness, and pride may dwell. Teach us, O Lord, to act justly and to love mercy, that we might walk humbly with You.
As you dealt with the Ammonites, let us learn the importance of humility and repentance. Help us recognize the fleeting nature of earthly kingdoms and the lasting nature of your heavenly kingdom. Let us not chase after the possessions of this world but instead, cling to the eternal promises you have laid before us.
Lord, I pray for the nations of the world. In the midst of conflicts and divisions, let nations remember their shared humanity and dignity as your creation. May they turn from hostility and strive towards peace. The Ammonites were forgotten because of their unholy ways; may we, as a congregation of your people, strive to be known for our righteousness, compassion, and adherence to your Word. Inspire leaders to seek wisdom from above in their decisions, safeguarding the well-being of those whom they govern.
Remember our own hearts this day, dear Father. Help us to move past our grievances and into a state of reconciliation and love. As we witness conflicts, whether in our own lives or on a global scale, let us be agents of peace. Help us to seek understanding rather than division, to offer forgiveness even when it feels undeserved, following the example of Christ who forgave all.
Holy Spirit, fill us with your strength and courage to proclaim truth and justice. We lift up those who are marginalized and oppressed, remembering how we, too, were once lost and forgotten before You called us by name. Raise up voices that advocate for peace, that fight against injustice, that seek to make your ways known to the masses. Empower us to live as beacons of hope in a world filled with chaos and despair.
Lastly, Lord, I pray for your remembering grace. It is easy to forget those who have fallen by the wayside—both individuals and entire nations. Help us not to overlook the lessons of history and to remember those who have come before us; both their triumphs and their tragedies, so that we may learn from their paths and ensure we walk closer to you.
As I conclude this prayer, Father, I leave my burdens at your feet. May your will be done, your kingdom come, and may we never be forgotten because we have chosen to stand with You, allowing your light to shine through us in every nation.
In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
