Heavenly Father,

We come before you today with hearts both heavy and hopeful, meditating on the words spoken through your prophet Ezekiel: "And I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and will disperse them through the countries" (Ezekiel 30:23, KJV). With this profound proclamation, we find ourselves searching for meaning and wisdom in the implications of such scattering. Lord, we understand that every word in your Scripture carries your divine purpose, and we seek to grasp the lesson woven within this historical narrative as it pertains to our lives today.

First and foremost, we acknowledge your sovereignty over all nations and peoples. You, O God, are the Creator of heaven and earth, and your understanding far surpasses ours. You see the beginning from the end, and while it may seem to us that scattering brings disarray and confusion, we trust that you have a plan for each of those whom you have dispersed. We accept that sometimes it requires us to be torn away from our comforts and familiarities to realize our true selves and purpose in your grand design.

Forgive us for our biases and prejudices, and grant us the grace to embrace our differences as you intend us to. As you scattered the Egyptians, we pray for the nations we belong to.
