Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, acknowledging Your sovereignty over all nations and peoples. Your will and purpose reign supreme, and we stand in awe of Your greatness. As we reflect upon the words of Ezekiel 30:5, "Ethiopia, and Libya, and Lydia, and all the mingled people, and Chub, and the men of the land that is in league, shall fall with them by the sword," let us be reminded of the fragility of alliances drawn by man, and the ultimate power that lies in Your hand.

Lord, we recognize that the verse speaks of judgment and destruction, a prophetic declaration that resonates through the ages. We come seeking not only understanding but also repentance. Forgive us, O Lord, for the times we have wandered from Your path and relied on our strength or alliances with the world. Like those mentioned in Ezekiel, we are often misled by the allure of power and prosperity, failing to acknowledge that true strength is found in our relationship with You.

Father, we see the chaos present in many nations today. The mingled people, representing diverse cultures, languages, and backgrounds, often find themselves ensnared in conflicts that lead to suffering. We pray for peace, Lord, amidst the turmoil, and ask that Your light will shine brightly in the hearts of leaders and governments. Guide their actions and decisions, that they may seek justice and righteousness rather than greed and power.

As we reflect on Ethiopia, Libya, Lydia, and Chub in the context of our world today, we recognize that nations often fall prey to the same swords of division, strife, and betrayal. We ask that Your wisdom be poured out on those who govern, and that they may acknowledge Your authority over their nations. Soften hearts that have grown hardened by pride, and open eyes that have chosen to look away from injustice.

Lord, we also turn our prayers toward those who are affected by wars and conflicts—those who are caught in the middle of battles they did not choose. We lift up the innocent, the widows, the orphans, and those who grieve for the fallen. Surround them with Your comfort and love. May they feel Your presence in their most desperate hours and know that they are not abandoned.

In our own communities, help us to be instruments of Your peace. Encourage us to step out in faith, embracing those who are different from us, and promoting love rather than fear. Let us remember that all people, regardless of their nationality, are created in Your image and deserving of dignity and respect. May we work toward unity in a world that seems intent on division.

Gracious Lord, we also pray for our spiritual leaders, that they may boldly proclaim Your truth in the face of adversity. Equip them with the courage to speak out against injustice and to lead with integrity that reflects Your holy character. Likewise, strengthen Your church to be a beacon of hope during times of despair, standing firm in Your promises, and sharing the gospel of peace to those longing for the hope only You can provide.

As we bow before You today, let us not forget the promise of restoration that comes through repentance and humility. May we seek Your face and turn from our wicked ways, that You may hear from heaven and heal our land (2 Chronicles 7:14). We trust in Your goodness and mercy as we face uncertainty, knowing that Your plans for us are to prosper us and not to harm us (Jeremiah 29:11).

In closing, we declare our trust in Your ultimate sovereignty. Even when the world seems to shake and tremble, You remain unmovable, a fortress and refuge for all who seek You. May Your will be done on Earth, as it is in Heaven.
