A Prayer for Divine Increase: Petitioning the God of Restoration
"Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will yet for this be enquired of by the house of Israel, to do it for them; I will increase them with men like a flock." - Ezekiel 36:37

O Gracious and Sovereign Lord,
As we come before You today, we are humbled by Your might and mercy. We gather in Your name, seeking to find peace in Your presence and clarity in Your promises. Your Word in Ezekiel 36:37 declares, "Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will yet for this be enquired of by the house of Israel, to do it for them; I will increase them with men like a flock." What a profound promise, dear Lord! We praise You for Your commitment to hear our prayers and fulfill Your plans for Your people.
We recognize that in this world filled with uncertainties and turmoil, You are our anchor and our hope. We thank You for Your faithfulness to Israel, a testament to the great lengths You go to restore, revive, and redeem. Today, Lord, we earnestly seek these promises in our lives, community, and nation. We desire to be a biblical Israel who comes before You, asking boldly for increase—spiritually, emotionally, and physically.
O Lord, as Your children, we come to You today with hearts full of expectation, echoing the cry of Your people. We inquire of You, Lord, remembering that You invite us into a deeper relationship with You—that our prayers matter to You. We ask that You would kindle in us a fire for intercession, help us not to grow weary as we pray for our families, our communities, and the nations of the earth. We request that You fill our hearts with urgency, that we would become persistent in prayer, never doubting Your intentions or timing.
Increase us, dear God, in knowledge, wisdom, and understanding. We ask that as we seek after You, our understanding of Your ways deepens. May we discern the signs of the times and the urgency of the hour we live in, filled with knowledge, compassion, and grace, that we might lead others back to You.
Heavenly Father, we recognize that You said You would increase us like a flock. In this metaphor, we see the beauty of community—of belonging, of unity, and of care. We pray for unity amongst Your people. Lord, let there be no division in our hearts or among us. Help us to embrace one another as hands of the same body, awakening a spirit of harmony and shared purpose. May our prayers and plea for increase create bonds that draw people nearer to each other and to You.
Lord, we also cry out for physical increase. There are many in our communities who struggle—those looking for jobs, those facing housing insecurity, and those lacking basic needs. We pray for provision, Lord. I ask that You would raise up a flock of providers, givers, and servers, that we would be like the Good Shepherd feeding His flock. Inspire us to be a source of hope and help, pouring out into the lives of those in need while trusting You as the ultimate Provider.
Father, we take a moment to acknowledge those who have drifted away from Your fold. Your heart is to see none lost and we pray for a return of the wayward. We ask that You would put a burden upon our hearts to reach out, to pray for, and even to physically seek the lost, drawing them back to Your everlasting arms. Increase our numbers, Lord, and let them be filled with love, joy, and the knowledge of Your truth.
Lastly, Lord, we submit to Your Lordship over this journey and this season of increase. Help us to trust in Your timing and understand that in our waiting, You are working. Strengthen our faith as we await the answers to our cries.
In the mighty and precious name of Jesus, we pray with gratitude. Amen.
