Heavenly Father,

Lord, forgive us for the times we have held back; for the moments we have mismanaged our resources out of fear or selfishness. Instill in us a renewed commitment to be faithful stewards of all that You have placed in our hands. May we, like Ezra, exemplify integrity and purpose in our relationships and in our actions. We pray that we never lose sight of the importance of being accountable with our gifts, understanding the larger narrative of Your kingdom work.
We also lift up those who are in positions similar to the king and his counsellors. Grant them wisdom and guidance as they make decisions that influence the well-being of others. May they be servants of righteousness who seek to honor You in all aspects of their leadership. Create a deep sense of responsibility in them to lead with compassion and toward equity, reflecting Your heart for the marginalized and the oppressed.
As we honor You with our offerings, help us remember that it is not merely the amount we give but the spirit in which we give it. Let our hearts reflect a posture of surrender and admiration over the gifts we present. Remind us that generosity is a profound act of worship, revealing our understanding of who You are and what You have given.
Lord, we thank You for all who have supported the ministry of the church, for those who selflessly provide for the needs of others, and for every kindness shown towards the least of these. May our lives echo the sentiment in Ezra's recounting of these gifts, that at the end of our days, we may offer back to You what was always Yours.
