A Prayer for the Exalted Mountain of the LORD and the Gathering of the Nations
"And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD'S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it." - Isaiah 2:2

Most Holy and Everlasting God, LORD of heaven and earth, we come before Thee with reverence and awe, blessing Thy great Name. Thou art the Creator of the mountains and the hills, the One who setteth boundaries for the seas and order for the stars, and yet Thou also drawest near to the humble and contrite heart. We praise Thee because Thy counsel shall stand, and Thy purposes cannot be overturned. We worship Thee as the God who speaketh, and it is done; who commandeth, and it standeth fast.
Father, we hold before Thee Thy sure promise written in the Scriptures, for Thou hast said: “And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD'S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.” Lord, let this word be living and powerful in our hearts. Cause us to see with faith what Thou hast declared with certainty: that Thy house shall be established, that Thy glory shall be lifted high, and that the nations shall be drawn as rivers drawn to the sea.
O LORD, in a world where many mountains are raised—mountains of pride, mountains of power, mountains of wealth, mountains of false worship, and mountains of fear—we ask Thee to exalt Thyself above them all. Establish, we pray, the mountain of the LORD’S house “in the top of the mountains.” Let every competing throne be brought low before Thee, and let every rival altar be broken in our hearts. Forgive us for the times we have elevated lesser things above Thy presence, above Thy truth, and above obedience to Thy voice. Cleanse us from hidden idols and secret agreements with sin. Make our hearts a holy habitation, that we might be living stones fitted together for Thy dwelling.
Lord God, “in the last days,” when the love of many waxeth cold and the foundations of the earth seem shaken, make Thy church steadfast, pure, and bright. Let Thy house be established—not by human strength, not by cleverness, not by earthly influence, but by Thy Spirit and by Thy Word. Remove from among us what is unclean: bitterness that divides, pride that hardens, compromise that weakens, and unbelief that silences praise. Give us repentance that is sincere, worship that is true, and a hunger for righteousness that cannot be satisfied by empty forms.
And as Thou hast spoken that Thy mountain “shall be exalted above the hills,” we pray for the exaltation of Thy Name in our homes, in our cities, and among the peoples of the earth. Exalt Thy holiness above our opinions. Exalt Thy justice above our convenience. Exalt Thy mercy above our condemnation. Exalt Thy truth above every lie that enslaves. Let Christ be lifted up in our lives, that our words, our choices, and our love might declare that Thou alone art God.
Gracious LORD, Thy Word declares that “all nations shall flow unto it.” We plead for the gathering of the nations to Thee. Draw the weary, the broken, the oppressed, the guilty, and the searching to Thy presence. Let the proud be humbled and the humble be lifted. Break down walls of hostility and remove the scales of spiritual blindness. We pray for every tribe and tongue: let the light of Thy salvation shine where darkness has long prevailed. Send forth laborers into Thy harvest. Strengthen missionaries, pastors, evangelists, and faithful witnesses. Give them boldness with gentleness, courage with patience, and truth spoken in love.
Lord, let the “flow” of the nations be seen even now—families turning to Thee, communities seeking Thee, leaders submitting to righteousness, and generations learning to honor Thy ways. Where there is war, bring peace that comes from justice and truth. Where there is hatred, pour out reconciliation. Where there is despair, speak hope. Let the stream of worship rise from every place: from crowded streets and quiet villages, from prisons and hospitals, from distant islands and great nations, until the whole earth is filled with the knowledge of the LORD.
Finally, O God, make us willing participants in Thy promise. Plant our feet upon Thy holy mountain. Teach us to love Thy house, to seek Thy face, and to treasure Thy Word. May our lives become invitations for others to come and see Thy goodness. Keep us faithful “in the last days,” watchful and ready, steadfast in prayer, rich in compassion, and unwavering in truth.
We rest our hope in what Thou hast spoken, for Thy Word cannot fail. And we pray with confidence, believing: “And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD'S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.” Amen.
