O Gracious and Merciful Father,

In the stillness of this moment, I come before You with a heart heavy with concern and a spirit yearning for Your truth. Your word in Jeremiah 13:17 resonates deeply as I meditate on its weighty implications: "But if ye will not hear it, my soul shall weep in secret places for your pride; and mine eye shall weep sore, and run down with tears, because the LORD'S flock is carried away captive."

Almighty God, I acknowledge that pride is a dangerous snare that can lead even the most loyal of Your children astray. Your soul weeps for those who turn away from Your voice, for their hearts are hardened, and their eyes are clouded by the illusions of self-sufficiency. Lord, I pray that in my own life, I would not be led by pride, for I know it can lead to destruction. Help me to cultivate a spirit of humility and to be ever sensitive to the whispers of Your Holy Spirit.

Heavenly Father, I ask for Your grace to soften our hearts and to open our ears to hear Your call. May we not dismiss Your messages, but instead receive them with open arms. Let us not be too proud to acknowledge our need for You, for we are but sheep, and You are our Shepherd. When we wander from Your path, may we be reminded of Your gentle correction and loving guidance, which is the true expression of Your love for us.

I lift up to You those who are currently captive to the pride of their hearts, who may be blinded by their own achievements or consumed by their own desires. Lord, I pray that You would break down the barriers that keep them from recognizing their need for You. Just as a father weeps for his lost child, may we be moved with compassion for those around us who are far from You. May our tears fall for their pride, which will lead them to ruin if not addressed.

Lord, grant us a spirit of intercession, that we may weep for the flock that is lost, captive to sin and surrounded by the deceptions of this world. Let our hearts ache for those who have turned their backs on Your truth, for their lives are full of emptiness and despair. May our prayers rise before You like a sweet incense, pleading for their deliverance from the chains of pride and the lies of the enemy.

God, I am reminded that Your tears, shed for each of us, are a testament to Your love and concern. May we mirror that love in our own lives, reaching out to those who wander with genuine compassion and humility. Let our eyes overflow with tears for their plight, as ours are also filled with gratitude for Your mercy and grace in our own lives. Help us to be a salve to their wounds, as You are for us.

I also call upon You, Lord, to guide us as a Church and as a community. May we not allow pride to creep into the structures of our gatherings, our conversations, and our worship. May we gather as humble servants, eager to listen to one another and to hear Your voice in our midst. Together, may we seek the ways to restore the lost and bind up the brokenhearted.

Finally, Lord, help us to be the bearers of Your light in a dark and prideful world. Let our humility shine brighter than our achievements, and may we reflect Your love in all that we do. We trust in Your promises of hope and restoration as we plead for the hearts of those who have strayed. Let Your pastures be filled again with the flock that You so dearly love.
