A Prayer for Mercy and Guidance
"And said unto Jeremiah the prophet, Let, we beseech thee, our supplication be accepted before thee, and pray for us unto the LORD thy God, even for all this remnant; (for we are left but a few of many, as thine eyes do behold us:)" - Jeremiah 42:2

O Gracious and Almighty Lord,
In the quietness of this moment, we come before Thee with humble hearts, echoing the earnest plea of Thy people as they spoke unto Jeremiah the prophet, saying, "Let, we beseech thee, our supplication be accepted before thee, and pray for us unto the LORD thy God, even for all this remnant; (for we are left but a few of many, as thine eyes do behold us:)" (Jeremiah 42:2 KJV).
Lord, we recognize our need for Thy divine favor and mercy upon our lives. As the remnant, we stand poignantly aware of our smallness and vulnerability in the face of this vast world. We come not in pride or presumption, but in sincerity and truth, acknowledging that we, too, are a few amidst many. Through the chaos and cacophony of life, remind us that we are seen and known by Thee. While the world may overlook us, Thy eyes are ever upon us, guiding and caring for our very souls.
Father, just as the remnant in Jeremiah's time sought the prophet's intercession, we seek Thee today. We beseech Thee to accept our supplication. Grant us the grace to present our requests with faith and reverence. We are mindful of our shortcomings and failures; yet, we come boldly to the throne of grace, trusting in the precious blood of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, which cleanses us from all unrighteousness.
Lord, we ask for forgiveness for the times we have strayed from Thy ways, for the moments we deemed ourselves self-sufficient, and for the thoughts that led us away from Thy light. As the remnants of Thy people, let us not forget the lessons of the past. Strengthen our resolve to remain faithful to Thy commandments, and instill in us a heart of obedience.
We ask Thee to pray for us amidst the trials and tribulations that surround us. In a world that often feels overwhelming, where doubts and fears cloud our judgment, we seek Thy guidance. May we hear Thy voice clearly, leading us in the paths of righteousness for Thy name’s sake. Give us discernment to recognize Thy hand at work within our lives, even when circumstances seem dire or uncertain.
Lord, we recognize that we are mere vessels, but with Thy Spirit, we can accomplish great things. Empower us to be instruments of peace and hope in our communities. Help us to share our testimonies with boldness, so that others may see the light of Christ within us. Teach us to love our neighbors as ourselves, extending compassion and grace to those who may also feel lost or marginalized.
As we gather in unity as a remnant of believers, may our hearts be knit together in love and purpose. Let our prayers rise before Thee as incense, as we collectively intercede for those who do not yet know Thee. We remember those who are broken and weary, those facing adversity and persecution. Lord, embolden us to stand firm in our faith, unashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
We beseech Thy mercy, O Lord, to wash over our nation and the world. In a time of division and strife, may our lives reflect Your peace. As we look upon the trials that besiege us, remind us to be steadfast, knowing that Thy plans for us are good and full of hope.
Finally, dear Lord, wrap us in Thy embrace, reminding us that we are not alone. Every prayer we utter, every tear we shed, every moment of uncertainty, is seen and cherished by Thee. Strengthen our resolve and draw us ever closer to Thy heart. In all things, may we bring glory to Thy name.
In Jesus’ name, we pray,
Amen.
