**Heavenly Father,**

As I come before You today, I reflect deeply on the words spoken in Job 31:12, that “For it is a fire that consumeth to destruction, and would root out all mine increase.” Lord, You have shown me the profound truth within this verse, illustrating that the temptations of this world, if not guarded against, can lead to destruction and ruin. I humbly seek Your guidance and strength to navigate through these fiery trials that surround me.

**O God,** I acknowledge the chaos and distractions that life presents. The fleeting desires and superficial gains can often look so enticing, drawing my attention away from Your glorious purpose for me. Just as the fire consumes, I understand that these temptations have the ability to ensnare and ultimately devastate what You have blessed me with – my relationships, my integrity, and my peace.

**Lord,** I pray for wisdom as I encounter situations where I feel pressured to stray from Your path. Help me to recognize these temptations for what they truly are – a fire meant to destroy my increase, my growth in You. Grant me discernment, to see these moments clearly and resist the urge to fall into them. May my heart be steadfast, rooted in Your word and unwavering in my commitment to follow You, regardless of the trials that may come my way.

**Father,** I ask You to fortify my spirit so that I may stand resilient against the fiery darts of temptation. Equip me with armor that protects my heart from being consumed by desires that lead to destruction. Clothe me with faith, shield me with Your love, and surround me with a community of believers who encourage and uplift me in my walk with You.

**Gracious God,** I recognize that there are seasons of trial and testing that I must endure. However, I trust in Your eternal wisdom and purpose that is far greater than my understanding. Help me to embrace these challenges as opportunities for growth and transformation. May I learn to hold onto the fruits of the Spirit – love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control – even when it feels like the fires are raging around me.

**Lord,** as I strive to align my life with Your will, I ask for an increase in my spiritual discernment. Let my heart be a fertile ground for Your seeds of truth so that I may easily identify when I am being led astray by perishable things of this world. Give me the strength to retreat from situations that tempt me and a heart to seek Your refuge in times of temptation.

**In Your mercy, O God,** cleanse my heart from the desires that lead to destruction. Help me to focus on the eternal rewards of following Your path, rather than the temporary gains that may pull me away from You. Let my actions and decisions reflect a desire to build up, rather than tear down, all that You have increased in my life.

**Finally, Lord,** I pray that when I face the fires of temptation, I would remember that You are a consuming fire, and it is only in You I find true refuge. Help me lean into Your presence, where I can find comfort, guidance, and strength. May I emerge from my trials not burnt or diminished, but refined and strengthened, continuing to bear witness to Your grace and power in my life.

**Thank You, Lord,** for Your mercy and the promises that assure me that I am never alone in this fight. I place my trust in You, confident that with Your help, I can overcome every challenge. In Jesus’ mighty name, I pray,
