A Prayer for Guidance and Unity in Our Journey
"And they came unto their brethren to Zorah and Eshtaol: and their brethren said unto them, What say ye?" - Judges 18:8

Heavenly Father,
As I bow before You today, I am reminded of the story from Judges 18:8, where the people journeyed to their brethren in Zorah and Eshtaol, seeking counsel and understanding. In this moment, I feel the weight of their question, "What say ye?" and I seek that same wisdom and discernment in my own life, asking You to guide me as I navigate my path.
Lord, in a world filled with distractions and uncertainties, I yearn for Your divine guidance. Much like the tribe of Dan, I find myself at times questioning the direction of my life. They sought their brethren with open hearts and minds, eager to hear and to share. In their search for advice, I see an example of the importance of community, of fellowship, and of seeking counsel from one another. God, help me to surround myself with wise people who will lead me closer to You, those who will speak truth into my life and encourage me in my journey.
Father, as these brethren asked, "What say ye?" I too come before You today with my questions, seeking clarity and understanding. What say Ye, O Lord? What direction do You want me to take? What paths must I pursue in order to align my life with Your will? Illuminate the path before me and give me ears to hear Your voice amidst the noise of this world. I am listening, Lord.
As the tribe of Dan sought guidance from their brethren, I also recognize the necessity of collaboration in my own life. Teach me, Lord, to come together with others in unity. Let our discussions be rooted in mutual respect, love, and the desire to seek Your face together. Help me to be a trustworthy companion and friend, ready to listen and encourage those around me just as I seek encouragement from them.
Lord, I ask for Your wisdom to speak life into every conversation I engage in. In the same way the brethren listened to one another, grant me patience and openness to receive feedback. May my heart be tender and my mind open as I filter every word through the lens of Your truth and love. Lead me away from gossip and backbiting, and remind me of the importance of guarding my tongue, for it holds the power of life and death.
As I reflect on their journey, I pray for protection as I venture forth in my own path. Just as the brethren sought safety and blessing in their endeavors, Lord, I ask for Your almighty hand to cover me. Surround me with Your angels and keep me steadfast in faith as I walk towards the plans You have laid out for me.
God, remind me that it is not merely enough to ask, "What say ye?" but to also act upon the wisdom shared. Help me to be bold in aligning my actions with Your will, stepping forward with courage and faith. Teach me to trust the steps You reveal and to embrace the unknown with confidence, for I know that You are with me.
In closing, Father, I thank You for Your everlasting guidance and the gift of community. May I always seek my brethren for wisdom, love, and support, remembering that we are stronger together than apart. Help me to be mindful of the calling to uplift others and to share in our collective journeys toward Your glory.
I pray all these things in the name of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior. Amen.
