Heavenly Father,

We come before Your throne of grace with reverent hearts, humbled by Your holiness and the depth of Your love for us. As we reflect on the words from Leviticus 7:3, where it is written, "And he shall offer of it all the fat thereof; the rump, and the fat that covereth the inwards," we are reminded of the importance of giving our best to You, Lord. In the Old Testament, the offering of sacrifices carried great significance, representing a deep commitment to You and a recognition of Your sovereignty over our lives.

Lord, we acknowledge that the fat of the offerings was a symbol of the best portion of the sacrifice, set apart for You. In this we see a beautiful picture of our relationship with You. We understand that as you requested the fat to be offered, You are calling us to bring forth our best, our first fruits, and our deepest sacrifices. Help us to understand that true worship involves giving our whole selves—our time, our talents, our treasures, and our very hearts—to You.

Father, sometimes we struggle with our desires and our flesh, where we may choose what is easy or convenient over what is righteous and sacrificial. Teach us to offer our "rump" and the fat that covers our inward selves, representing the deep-seated and hidden areas of our hearts that need purification and renewal. Let us not hold back out of fear or uncertainty, but instead, may we lay everything at Your altar, trusting in Your perfect will.

As we offer up these sacrifices, let our hearts be filled with gratitude and surrender. Lord, we want to give You the fat of our lives, meaning the things we value most—our ambitions, our dreams, and our relationships. We pray that You would help us to lay down all our worries and anxieties, trusting that You are in control and have a plan that is beyond what we can see. May we lean into Your strength when we are weak, placing our trust in You as we offer ourselves as living sacrifices, holy and acceptable to You.

In this moment, I pray for those who are heavy laden. May we remember that our sacrifices do not go unnoticed. You are attentive to every moment we spend in devotion, every tear that we cry in longing for closer connection with You. I pray that we will find comfort in offering our hardships and trials as a sweet-smelling aroma unto You, turning our sorrows into joy and our weaknesses into strength through Your grace.

Lord, as we consider what it means to give You our fat—our best—we are also reminded of the call to be generous with our resources. Help us to recognize that how we use our time and finances is a reflection of our gratitude towards You. Instill within us a spirit of generosity that aligns with Your heart, where we can bless others just as we have been blessed. May we seek opportunities to share our abundance, whether through acts of service, kind words, or financial support, ensuring that our offerings reflect Your love.

As we reflect on our sacrifices, let us remember that true sacrifice begins in the heart. Conform our hearts to Yours, O God, to be fully devoted to You in all we do. May we continually be drawn back to the essence of sacrifice and offering as we live out our calling as Your children. In all things, we seek to honor You, glorifying Your name through the best of our offerings.

With humble hearts, we submit our requests and our sacrifices to You. We thank You for Your unending mercy, grace, and the opportunity to serve You wholeheartedly. May our lives be a testament to the power of offering what is sacred and precious unto You.
