"And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said, The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son, And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come. So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests. And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment: And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless. Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness, there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. O Sovereign Lord, King of all creation,

We pray for a heart that is attuned to Your voice and a spirit that thirsts for Your righteousness.
Lord, when the king sent forth other servants to invite anyone he could find, both the good and the bad, I see Your unrelenting grace and mercy. You desire all to come to the knowledge of the truth and enter into fellowship with You, regardless of their past. Thank You for the invitation that transcends judgment and embraces all who are willing to come.
Yet, dear Lord, as I ponder the completion of this parable, I am struck by the image of the man without a wedding garment. This solemn warning calls to mind the essential preparedness required to enter into Your holy presence. Grant me the discernment to understand what this garment represents—my faith, my repentance, and the sanctifying grace that You provide. Help me to wear this garment of righteousness, woven by Your mercy, and to live a life that reflects Your love and truth.
May I never take for granted the gift of salvation or the privilege to dwell in Your house. Help me to remain vigilant, always ready, clothed in humility and grace, so that when You come to claim Your own, I will not stand speechless but rejoicing in the assurance of my calling.
According to Your word, You remind us that many are called but few are chosen. Lord, I pray earnestly that You would choose me, that I may never fall away from Your grace. Yet, let me also understand the weight of this calling upon my own life—to live as one chosen, to extend this invitation to others, and to exemplify Christ's love in my interactions.
May our lives be a testament of joy as we await the marriage supper of the Lamb. Grant us the boldness to invite others into this communion and make us ambassadors of Your love. Help us to share the good news, bringing in all who are willing, so that our hearts may overflow with the joy of being part of Your family.
