Heavenly Father,

As I come before You today, I am reminded of the profound words of our Lord Jesus Christ in Matthew 24:41, where it is written, "Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left." This sobering truth resonates deeply within my spirit and compels me to seek Your guidance, wisdom, and strength in these uncertain times.

Lord, I acknowledge the brevity of life and the reality that each day brings us closer to the moment of Your return. I recognize that in the daily grind of life—much like the two women grinding at the mill—we can become complacent and lose sight of the eternal. I pray for Your grace to keep my heart and mind alert, ensuring that I do not miss the significance of each moment.

I ask, Father, that You help me to be aware of my actions and intentions in my daily routines. May I understand that every interaction, every work, and every choice I make is an opportunity to either cultivate my relationship with You or to drift away. I pray for the wisdom to discern the times and the seasons as outlined in Your Word, for You have called us to live with expectancy and eagerness for the coming of our Savior.

Guide me, O Lord, to maintain an attitude of vigilance. May Your Holy Spirit awaken within me a sense of urgency to serve others with love, share the Gospel with boldness, and focus on laying treasures in Heaven rather than accumulating belongings on earth. Cleanse me from any spirit of complacency or distraction that keeps me from the path You have set before me.

As I reflect on the image of the two women at the mill, I feel a sense of sorrow for those who may be left behind. Father, I pray for those in my life who do not know You—my family, friends, colleagues, and neighbors. Lord, stir my heart to be a beacon of Your light in their lives. Help me to speak Your truth with love and grace, that they too may come to experience the life-changing power of Your presence.

Help me to remember that while decisions and actions matter greatly, ultimately, it is Your grace that saves. I pray for those who wrestle with doubt and fear, who might feel unworthy of Your love. Remind them that it is not by works that we are saved, but by faith in Jesus Christ, who alone holds the keys to life eternal. May Your love draw them close, and may our lives serve as a testimony to Your saving grace.

In this hour of preparation, I also ask that You cultivate within my heart a deep sense of humility and dependence on You. May I not take for granted the daily gifts of grace that You bestow upon me. Help me to appreciate the beauty of this moment and to live it in a way that honors You.

Father, instill in me the desire to gather with fellow believers, supporting and encouraging one another as we strive towards holiness. Help us to hold each other accountable to live lives marked by prayer, Scripture reading, and acts of service. May we sharpen one another as iron sharpens iron, that we may all be found ready when that glorious day arrives.

As I conclude this prayer, I thank You for the reminder of Your Word. Let the urgency of this moment echo in my spirit and compel me to draw closer to You. May I be diligent in my discipleship and steadfast in my faith, ensuring that when You return, I will not be left behind.
