Heavenly Father,

In this sacred moment, I come before You with a heart full of reverence and gratitude as I reflect on the glorious encounter experienced by those who were first to witness Your resurrected Son.

In Matthew 28:9, it is written, "And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him." Oh Lord, what an incredible scene this paints for us!

Today, I want to take a moment, as they did, to behold the beauty of Jesus. I invite Your presence to fill this space as I approach Your throne of grace.

As I meditate on this passage, I am reminded of the overwhelming joy and confusion they must have felt at the sight of the resurrected Christ. They were not just met by another teacher or a prophet; they were met by the very Lord of resurrection and life. I thank You, dear God, for the deep significance of this meeting. Your willingness to reach out to the seekers, to those captivated by loss and sorrow, is a testament to Your love and grace.

Lord Jesus, I echo Your greeting, "All hail!" I acknowledge Your sovereignty over heavens and earth. I proclaim that You are the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end, the One who was, and is, and is to come. In Your resurrection, You have defeated the power of death, and I am forever grateful for the victory that is found in You.

As they held Your feet, I too wish to humbly bow before You. Teach me what it means to worship You in spirit and in truth. Let me not only go through the motions of worship, but let every fiber of my being resonate with the reality of Your presence. Help me to hold tightly to Your feet, signifying my complete submission and devotion to You.

Help me to grasp the significance of this act of worship – it was not a mere formality; it was a recognition of Your divine majesty. May my worship stem not from obligation but from a heart overwhelmed with gratitude for the grace You have poured into my life.

Thank You for the promise of Your resurrection, which assures me of my own salvation. I pray that I would share this same awe and reverence with those around me. May the joy of the resurrection compel me to tell others about You, just as those faithful women did. Empower me to be a witness to Your goodness and love, spreading the hope found only in You.

Lord, I acknowledge the struggles I face in this world, the doubts that creep into my mind, and the fears that occasionally capture my heart. But just as the women encountered You and found comfort and courage in Your rising, I pray that I too would find strength in Your unwavering presence in my life.

Father, let this encounter transform my heart. May the reality of Your resurrection inject passion and purpose into my daily living. Let me walk confidently, knowing that the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead now dwells in me.

As I venture forth from this moment, clothe me in Your presence. I desire to be a vessel of Your peace and love, carrying the message that You are alive and present in the lives of those who seek You. May my life reflect the beauty of worship that was exhibited by those who first met You post-resurrection.

Thank You, Lord, for this opportunity to encounter You, for this moment of worship, and for the everlasting hope that is found in You alone. I commit my life to You, in the matchless name of Jesus,
