A Prayer of Faith and Surrender: Seeking Healing in Your Will
"And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean." - Matthew 8:2

Heavenly Father,
I come before You today with a humble heart, echoing the words of the leper from Matthew 8:2, who so boldly approached You, recognizing Your authority and power. In the KJV, it is written: "And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean." Lord, I prostrate myself in worship, acknowledging Your greatness, Your mercy, and Your ability to heal and restore. Like the leper, I recognize my own weaknesses and struggles; I know that there are areas in my life that need Your touch, healing, and cleansing.
Lord, I adore You for the compassion You extended to the brokenhearted, the sick, and the marginalized. You have a heart full of love and mercy, and You do not shy away from the outcasts. Just as the leper approached You without hesitation, despite societal shame or fear, I too press into Your presence, Lord. I long for closeness with You, because only You can bring true healing to my body, mind, and spirit.
As I stand before You, I realize that there are many forms of leprosy in my life—be it sins that cling closely, unforgiveness that festers, or the burdens of guilt and shame that weigh me down. I echo the plea of that leper, proclaiming, "Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean." I submit my heart to You, Lord, for I believe that You can transform my brokenness into wholeness; I believe that You can wipe away the stains of my past, and with your divine grace, I can be made new.
O Lord, how often do I allow doubt to creep into my heart like weeds among the flowers? I confess that my faith is not always as steady as it should be. I have hesitated to fully surrender my needs to You, forgetting that Your will is higher, Your wisdom is perfect, and Your love is unfailing. Yet, here I am, standing before You—this act of worship is an act of belief! I choose to believe in the goodness of Your plans and in Your ability to do far more than I could ever ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20).
Father, teach me to trust in Your timing. Like the leper who brought his desperate plea to You and waited for Your response, I am reminded that the journey of faith sometimes requires patience and tenacity. In times of waiting, help me remember that Your ways are not my ways and that You are always working for my good behind the scenes. I trust in Your promises, Lord.
Lord Jesus, in Your presence there is healing. I pray for healing not only physically but in every aspect of my life—emotionally, spiritually, and relationally. Let every chain that binds me be broken by Your grace, and may Your love wash over me like a river, renewing my spirit and refreshing my soul.
Please, Lord, as I seek healing, also grant me the grace to accept Your will, whatever it may be. Give me the strength to say, "Your will be done," even when the path is unclear or when the answer does not come in the way I expect it. Help me to find joy in every circumstance, knowing that You are sovereign and that your plans are always for my good.
Lastly, I pray that my healing, Lord, would become a testimony of Your goodness and love. As I experience Your touch, may I also reach out to those who are suffering—who are in need of compassion, understanding, and healing. May my life reflect the love of Christ, pointing others to the truth that in You, there is hope, there is healing, and there is wholeness.
I entrust this prayer into Your capable hands, Lord, knowing that You hear me and are ever present. Thank You for Your mercy, thank You for Your love, and thank You for the healing that is to come.
In Jesus’ name, I pray,
Amen.
