Dear Sovereign Lord,

As we draw near to Your throne of grace, we are reminded of the sacred lineage of Your people, as expressed in the verse from Numbers 26:44: "Of the children of Asher after their families: of Jimna, the family of the Jimnites: of Jesui, the family of the Jesuites: of Beriah, the family of the Beriites." Lord, the specificity of these families, known and identified by You, fills our hearts with reverence and humility. We recognize that each name represents generations of lives lived in covenant with You, echoing the power of family heritage in Your divine plan.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the families You have placed in our lives. Just as You numbered the clans of Israel, we acknowledge the significance of our own families. We come before You now to seek Your blessings upon them, Lord. Help us to cultivate an atmosphere akin to that of Jimna where love and support flourish.

May the spirit of unity and togetherness bind our families, just as the clans of Asher were known by their family names—Jimnites, Jesuites, and Beriites. Teach us to celebrate our unique identities while also recognizing our collective purpose as children of the Most High. Help us to bear one another's burdens, share in each other’s joys, and uplift one another during times of trial, thereby showcasing the beauty of Your design.

Lord, grant us the wisdom to nurture our children, just like the families of Beriah nurtured their descendants in faith. Instill in them a sense of belonging and a rich understanding of their heritage as children of God. May they grow to appreciate their names, their roots, and their calling. In this divided world, let our families be a beacon of hope, demonstrating Your love and grace.

We also pray for those who may feel disconnected from their families, Lord. Just as You formed the families of Asher, teach them that they belong to a larger family—the family of believers. Lord, we also lift up the elderly members of our families, akin to the patriarchs and matriarchs of the Asherites. Grant them dignity in their later years. Let us cherish the wisdom and love they have imparted upon us. May we engage with them, listen to their stories, and honor their contributions to our lineage.
