Heavenly Father,

In the quiet of this moment, I come before You with a heart full of gratitude and reverence. As I reflect upon Your Word, I am reminded of the verse from Numbers 7:14, which speaks of an offering of ‘one spoon of ten shekels of gold, full of incense.’ I take this imagery into my heart, envisioning the treasures of heaven manifesting in the fragrant offerings of incense that rise unto You, illustrating from the depths of my soul the beauty of sacrificial giving.

Lord, just as the Israelites brought forth their offerings to the tabernacle, I bring my life as a living sacrifice before You today. I understand that the spoon, though it is a small vessel, holds the richness of gold. It symbolizes the willingness of the giver to share the treasures of their life. The ten shekels of gold represent the value of our heartfelt gifts—the very best of what we can offer.

Father, I ask that You help me cultivate a heart that desires to give without reservation. May I strive to fill my own spoon with the incense of praise, worship, and thanksgiving. Teach me to appreciate what You have provided, and help me to give generously from the abundance You have poured into my life.

Lord, fill my heart with the desire to worship You in every circumstance, to see each moment of life as an opportunity for proclamation of who You are—the Creator, the Sustainer, and the Redeemer. Like the incense that was carefully prepared to be offered in the Holy Place, may my thoughts, words, and deeds be carefully cultivated to reflect a heart that desires to offer You glory.

In offering my life, I recognize that I also present to You my struggles, trials, and burdens. Sometimes, it can feel heavy to approach You, but teach me that in my vulnerability, I find strength. When I feel overwhelmed, help me to lift up my spoon filled with the incense of my prayers, trusting that You value my voice and that my cries are heard.

Remind me, Lord, that every offering I present is not just about the gift itself, but the attitude of my heart toward You. May I approach You not out of compulsion, but with joy and gratitude, understanding that as I pour out my heart before You in prayer, I am participating in a sacred exchange of love.
