We are reminded, O Lord, that just as precious metals undergo significant refining processes to yield a pure and valuable result, so too must we undergo challenges and trials that test our character, integrity, and worth—especially in relation to the praise we might receive from others.

Heavenly Father, we recognize that praise can sometimes lead us astray if we allow it to inflate our egos or cloud our judgment.
