Heavenly Father,

As I begin this prayer, I come before You with a deep sense of reverence and gratitude. Your Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path, and today I reflect particularly on the wisdom found in Proverbs 5:10, which wisely states, "Lest strangers be filled with thy wealth; and thy labours be in the house of a stranger." Lord, I ask for Your divine wisdom and guidance as I ponder the implications of this scripture.

Father, I acknowledge that every good thing in my life—be it my health, my financial stability, my relationships, or my gifts and talents—ultimately comes from You. I recognize that it is critical I remain a good steward of these blessings. As I reflect on this verse, I realize the importance of protecting what You have entrusted to me. I do not want to labor in vain or see my efforts unjustly rewarded in the hands of strangers. Therefore, I ask for Your divine intervention in my life, Lord.

Protect my wealth and my endeavors from being exploited. I pray that You help me discern who I can trust and whom I should distance myself from, especially when it comes to business and financial engagements. May I not allow those motives that are purely self-serving to infiltrate my ventures and take root in my heart. Help me exercise discernment, ensuring that my earnings are not squandered or fed to the unworthy.

Lord, I seek to labor not merely for my own benefit but for the greater service of Your Kingdom. I pray for an abundance of wisdom in my decision-making processes, especially in matters of finance and investments. Guide me so that my labor brings fruits that will remain, rather than be reaped by strangers.

Father, guard my heart against the influence of those who would take advantage of my kindness or naivety. Surround me with counselors who will support my ventures, leading me to profitability while maintaining my integrity. Help me to cultivate relationships built on trust and mutual respect, and lead those who wish to deceive and exploit away from my life.

As I reflect on the meaning behind “the house of a stranger,” I am reminded of how easy it can be to become entangled in pursuits that do not align with Your will. I pray against any distractions that may cause me to invest my time and energy into endeavors that bear no fruit for Your Kingdom. Teach me to prioritize my labor so that it is meaningful and impactful, rooted in purpose that glorifies You.

Grant me the wisdom to build a foundation that withstands the tests of time, where my wealth can be securely held. Help me to invest wisely and engage with those who will respect the fruits of my labor. As the world becomes increasingly filled with competing pursuits and tempting offers, grant me the strength and clarity to focus on what truly matters—a life of service to You, my family, and my community.

Lord, ultimately, everything I am and have belongs to You. I pray that my heart’s intention remains pure, and my endeavors reflect Your love and generosity. Let not my wealth become a tool of vanity, for I aim to use it as a means to uplift others and serve Your Kingdom.

In closing, I ask for Your continual oversight and blessing over my life. Whatever challenges may loom, let me find peace in the assurance that You govern my steps. May I work diligently, ensuring that my labor and wealth are preserved for Your glory and the benefit of those You have placed in my life.
