Heavenly Father,

We come before You today with hearts full of worship and gratitude. We thank You for Your boundless love and unwavering mercies that are new every morning. Lord, as we reflect upon the words of Psalm 136:10, "To him that smote Egypt in their firstborn: for his mercy endureth for ever," we are reminded of Your mighty acts in history and the divine protection that You provided to Your chosen people in their time of need.

O Lord, we stand in awe of Your power and authority over all nations and kingdoms. You demonstrated Your sovereignty and justice as You championed the cause of Your people, the Israelites, subjecting the land of Egypt to Your righteous judgment. You smote Egypt in their firstborn, showing that You are not only the God of mercy but also a God of justice who sees the suffering of His people and intervenes on their behalf. We praise You for the history that teaches us about Your faithfulness and how it leads to our salvation.

We acknowledge, Lord, that we live in a world that often mirrors the adversity faced by the Israelites. In our own lives, we experience struggles, fear, and division. Let this powerful reminder of Your past deeds ignite hope within us. Just as You delivered the Israelites from slavery and brought them into freedom, we trust that You are working to liberate us from the chains that bind us. We pray for the strength to surrender our lives to You, for we know that Your path leads us to true freedom.

Heavenly Father, we confess that we sometimes forget how deep Your mercy flows. In our moments of distress and doubt, when fear clouds our judgment, remind us of the constancy of Your mercy. Your Word tells us that it endureth forever, and we take comfort in that assurance. We ask for forgiveness for our doubts and our reluctance to trust in Your goodness even when circumstance tells us otherwise. Your mercy is not merely a concept but a living truth that sustains us and lifts us up in our hardest times. Thank You for extending compassion to those who are weary and brokenhearted.

Lord, we pray for the world today, which mirrors the chaos of Egypt. As we witness turmoil and strife in many lands, we seek Your mercy upon the afflicted. May Your justice flow like a river, and may Your peace envelope hearts desperate for hope. Help us, as Your church, to be instruments of that mercy. Give us the eyes to see where we can help others and the courage to act in love—for we have received so much from You.

In our personal prayers and in our communal worship, may we always remember Your victories over oppression. Lord, keep our hearts anchored in the truth of Your mercy that endures forever, enabling us to share that message with others. Let it overflow from our lives so that those around us see not only our faith but also the transformative power of Your enduring mercy.

As we meditate on Your Word, let us envision the Exodus, the triumph over Pharaoh, and the open sea. In all these manifestations of Your love and power, encourage our spirits. Grant us the wisdom to embrace our calling in this generation, to declare to the world that You are mighty to save, and Your mercy truly endures forever.

We commit our lives, our worries, and our hopes to You, Lord. We stand firm in the assurance that as you delivered Egypt's captives, You are actively working for our deliverance as well. Help us to remain steadfast in faith, trusting in Your endless mercy that is poured out upon us each day.
