Heavenly Father,

I come before You with a humble heart, recognizing Your sovereignty over my life. In this moment of prayer, I reflect on the words of Psalm 140:5, where it is written, "The proud have hid a snare for me, and cords; they have spread a net by the wayside; they have set gins for me. Selah." Lord, it is all too evident that the proud are at work around me, conspiring in the shadows, seeking to ensnare me and lead me astray from the path You have set before me.

O God, I invite Your presence into my life, to ward off the schemes of the enemy that seek to entangle my feet and distract my heart from Your purpose. I pray for Your divine wisdom, that I may see beyond the surface of situations and discern the traps laid by those who harbor pride and malice. Help me, Father, to remain vigilant and to recognize the ways in which the proud may attempt to catch me unaware, seeking to lead me into sin, doubt, and despair.

Lord, I understand that pride often manifests in various forms: arrogance, deceit, manipulation. I ask for Your strength to resist falling prey to their devices. Empower me, O Lord, with a spirit of discernment that I may detect the hidden snares disguised as opportunities. I pray that Your light will shine upon the shadows where the proud dwell, illuminating their plots before they can take root in my life.

Father, I know that I am not immune to pride myself. Allow me, Lord, to examine my own heart. If there is any trace of pride within me, uproot it. Cleanse me from all iniquity; let humility guide my actions and words. May I live in a state of grace, eager to lift others rather than seek to elevate myself above them. Help me to remember that true strength lies in serving others in love and humility.

Heavenly Father, help me to be a beacon of hope and kindness to those who cross my path. In a world that often glorifies the proud, let me be an agent of Your compassion and grace. May I extend my hand in mercy, reflecting the heart of Christ to all I encounter. Lord, grant me the courage to confront those who set gins before me without engaging in their proud spirit. Teach me to respond with gentleness and patience, drawing upon Your infinite love and wisdom rather than succumbing to bitterness or anger.

I also intercede for those who may be ensnared by pride in their walks. May Your Holy Spirit reach their hearts and bring them to repentance. Show them the futility of their arrogance and draw them into the light of humility and grace. I pray for their restoration, just as I seek my own.

God, I ask for Your protection over my life. Guard my steps, Lord, and lead me away from paths that lead to destruction. Surround me with Your angels to shield me from the wickedness of those who seek to entrap me. May Your arms envelop me, ensuring that I find refuge under Your wings as I navigate the complexities and trials of this life.

As I reflect on the words of Psalm 140:5, I take solace in the knowledge that, though the proud may plot against me, they cannot outwit Your wisdom or hinder Your purpose. I trust that Your plan for my life is greater than any scheme they may devise. Help me to walk each day in faith, fully relying on You, my Rock and my Fortress.

I thank You, Lord, for Your unfailing love and faithfulness. I submit this prayer into Your mighty hands, confident that You will deliver me from every snare and net that the proud have hidden against me. To You be the glory and the praise, forever and ever.
