Heavenly Father,

I come before Your throne of grace in awe and reverence, with a heart that seeks Your unfailing love and protection. Psalm 18:47 eloquently declares, "It is God that avengeth me, and subdueth the people under me". This verse resonates deeply within me, reminding me that You are my ultimate defender and source of strength.

Lord, I acknowledge that life often puts us in situations where we feel wronged or oppressed. I bring before You the burdens in my heart – the injustices I witness and experience, the betrayal by those I once held dear, and the battles that seem so insurmountable. You, O God, are aware of every wound and bruise that I carry within. I pray for Your divine intervention to bring forth justice where it is due.

You are a God who sees all things; nothing escapes Your watchful eye. As I call upon Your name, I trust in Your perfect timing and righteousness. I seek comfort in Your promise to avenge those who have been wronged. Lord, avenge me according to Your will. I do not desire vengeance for myself or from my own strength, but I place my trust in Your hands, knowing that You are the just judge who understands the depth of every situation.

As I reflect on this verse, instill within me the courage to rely solely on You. Help me to resist the temptation of taking matters into my own hands, to respond with grace rather than retaliation. May I rest in the assurance that You are the one who defends my cause and holds my enemies accountable. Remind me daily to place my faith in Your sovereignty, understanding that You are in control of every circumstance.

In moments when I grow weary and doubt Your goodness, grant me the strength to remember that I am not alone in these battles. You subdue the people who rise against me. You subdue the powerful and the wicked. Your words remind me that justice isn’t solely about punishment but also about restoration and hope. Lord, I ask that Your justice may bring restoration to the broken places in my life and the lives of others.

I pray for those who may have wronged me, that they too might come to know Your grace. Teach me how to forgive those who trespass against me, to model the forgiveness that You have bestowed upon me. Let my heart be soft, and my spirit be willing to release anger and resentment, so that I may be filled with Your love and peace instead.

Father, I ask You to equip me with the armor of God, as mentioned in Ephesians 6, a reminder that my battles are not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers of darkness in this world. May I stand firm, anchored in Your truth, and be empowered to face any adversities that may come my way.

As I close this prayer, I express my gratitude for Your constant companionship and support in my life. Let Your presence illuminate my path so that I may walk in confidence and assurance, knowing that You avenge and subdue. May I keep my heart aligned with Your purposes and stand as a reflection of Your love even in trials.
