A Prayer for Justice and Divine Protection
"The face of the LORD is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth." - Psalms 34:16

O Lord God Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth,
As I bow my head before You, I am reminded of Your great power and righteousness. I come to You with a heart that seeks understanding and a spirit that yearns for justice. Your Word, in Psalm 34:16, declares: "The face of the LORD is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth." What a sobering truth this is, O Lord, reminding us of Your holy nature and the eternal consequences of sin.
Lord, I thank You for being a God of justice, one who does not turn a blind eye to iniquity but who sees and knows all things. Your eyes, which behold the righteous and the wicked, guide my heart to trust in Your divine timing. I pray that You would give me the wisdom to recognize the evil around me and the strength to stand firm against it. Your face is set against those who do wrong, reminding us of the gravity with which You handle the affairs of mankind. I ask for the grace to always choose good, to align my heart with Your will, and to resist the temptations that lure me into the darkness.
As I witness the troubles and injustices in the world today, I find solace in knowing that You are sovereign, and that all evil will ultimately face Your judgment. I pray for those who have been wronged, O Lord. For the oppressed, the marginalized, and those who call upon Your name from their places of despair. May they find refuge in You, and may Your divine hand protect them from those who perpetuate evil.
Father, Your word teaches us that while evil may seem to flourish, it is temporary. Those who participate in wickedness may temporarily thrive, but Your promise speaks clearly of their fate. I pray that the wickedness in our world would be brought to light, that deceit and malice would be exposed, and that those who do evil would come to repentance before it is too late.
Yet, Lord, I do not take joy in the punishment of the wicked, for Your heart yearns for all to turn to You. I pray for those who are lost, ensnared by their own evil deeds, that they might encounter Your grace and mercy. Even as Your face is against them, may they see Your love beckoning them back into the fold of righteousness.
Help me to live out my days in accordance with Your truth—loving mercy, doing justice, and walking humbly with my God. In a world consumed by darkness, let my life shine as a beacon of hope through the power of Your Spirit. Teach me to champion kindness and compassion, for I know that Your countenance is upon those who strive to be agents of good.
Lord, I also pray for our leaders and those in authority. May they govern with a heart aligned to You, understanding the weight of their responsibilities. Let them turn to You for wisdom and guidance, for the interplay of justice and mercy must be at the forefront of every decision made.
As we await Your perfect justice to unfold on the earth, I ask for patience and perseverance. Strengthen my faith, Lord, especially in times of trial when the evidence of evil may seem overwhelming. Remind me daily that Your face shields the righteous, and that even when I walk through the valley of shadows, You are with me.
Thank You, Lord, for Your promise to protect and deliver me from the hands of evil. I rest in the assurance that You hold the ultimate authority over all creation. Let my life, Lord, be a testimony of Your greatness, Your justice, and Your unfailing love.
In the mighty name of Jesus, I pray, Amen.
