Dear Heavenly Father,

As I come before Your throne of grace, Lord, I reflect deeply on the truth found in Psalm 36:3—"The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: he hath left off to be wise, and to do good." This profound verse speaks volumes about the condition of our hearts and the power of our words. I acknowledge, dear Lord, that we live in a world where deceit and iniquity often reign, and I pray earnestly for wisdom and discernment in all that I say and do.

Lord, I recognize that the words I speak carry great weight, and I am reminded of Your teachings that instruct us to speak truth into the lives of those around us. Help me to guard my tongue and to be vigilant in ensuring that my speech is filled with words that uplift and honor You. Teach me to discern between truth and falsehood, so that I might not fall into the trap of speaking deceitfully. Let the words I choose to use reflect the love and integrity that You desire from me.

Father, I confess that there are times in my life when I have allowed iniquity to seep into my heart. It is easy to become swayed by the temptations of the world, where the allure of convenience can lead to compromise. I ask for Your mercy and grace to cleanse me of any impurities in my heart. By the power of Your Holy Spirit, empower me to seek righteousness and to turn away from deceitful paths.

Help me, Lord, to cultivate a heart that is wise—one that actively seeks to do good. I remember the wisdom of Proverbs 4:7, that wisdom is the principal thing; therefore, I must get wisdom and with all my getting, get understanding. Instill within me a fervent desire to pursue wisdom, so that I may be a beacon of light in a darkened world.

Moreover, I pray for those who speak words of iniquity and deceit around me. I ask that You would soften their hearts and open their eyes to the truth of Your Word. May they come to know the transformative power of Your gospel, and in doing so, turn away from their ways that cause harm and pain. Holy Spirit, work within them, just as You work within me, creating in them a new heart and enabling them to embrace honesty and integrity.

Lord, let my actions mirror my words. I desire to walk the path of goodness, actively finding ways to serve others and make a positive impact in their lives. Break any chains of indifference that may bind me and replace them with a fervent love for humanity—a love that compels me to reach out, to help, and to uplift those around me. Remind me daily that doing good is an expression of my faith and a manifestation of Your love within me.

As I mediate on Psalm 36:3, I am reminded of the importance of accountability in my life. Surround me, Lord, with wise counsel and people who will encourage and challenge me to live a life of integrity. May I be open and receptive to rebuke when necessary, that I might continually grow and align my heart closer to Yours.

In closing, I ask that You fill my heart with an unwavering desire for truth, righteousness, and love. May my tongue be a tool of peace, bringing hope and healing to those in need of Your light. I pray all these things in the matchless name of my Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.
