O Mighty God,

As we gather before You in this sacred moment of prayer, we lift our hearts and voices in gratitude, remembering Your profound works and the great power that resides in Your hand. We turn our thoughts to the words of the psalmist in Psalms 74:13, ‘Thou didst divide the sea by thy strength: thou brakest the heads of the dragons in the waters,’ and we acknowledge the great miracles that You have performed throughout history, believing that You are the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Lord, You who caused the sea to part, who allowed Your people to walk on dry land, we marvel at Your ability to overturn seemingly insurmountable circumstances, to make a way where there was none, and to show forth the depth of Your might. As we reflect on this verse, we recognize the colossal challenges that stand before us in our lives. The metaphor of dividing the sea speaks not only to physical barriers but also to emotional, spiritual, and relational giants that threaten to drown us in despair. You have the prowess to bring down those giants, to calm the stormy waters, and to lead us into freedom.

In our day-to-day lives, Lord, we encounter so many 'dragons'—whether they be fears, doubts, crises, or temptations that rise against us with ferocity. We feel their breath upon our necks, the fear that grips our hearts as we navigate through trials that seem beyond our capability to overcome. Yet, in this moment of prayer, we surrender those ‘dragons’ to You. We confess our weakness and our reliance on Your infinite grace. Please help us to remember that You have shattered the heads of the dragons in the waters; thus, we too can stand firm against the challenges that lie before us.

We call upon Your strength, Lord, that we might find courage to confront our fears. We stand on the promise that just as You divided the sea, You can create a pathway for us amid our troubles. Teach us, Almighty God, to trust in You wholeheartedly. Let us cast our burdens upon You, for You carry them with strength and grace. Shower us with the assurance that, even when the waters rise high, we can find refuge in the cleft of the rock, sheltered from the storms.

Lord, we lift up our loved ones and our communities, too, who may be facing turbulent waters in their own lives. We ask that You divide the seas of despair that threaten to engulf them and deliver them through Your miraculous might. Surround them with Your protective embrace, and instill in them the hope that does not disappoint. Help us to be conduits of Your strength in their lives, to offer our hands in support and our voices in encouragement as they navigate their journeys.

We pray, Lord, that we may become witnesses of Your power, sharing our testimonies of deliverance and strength, proclaiming the great things You have done in our lives. Instill in us a deeper faith that urges us to call upon You when faced with our dragons.

As we conclude this prayer, we reaffirm our trust in Your sovereignty and grace. Thank You for Your perfect love, which casts out fear. Thank You for the assurance that we are not alone, for You are with us through every trial. We declare Your mighty name, knowing that Your strength is sufficient for us. May we live each day with the knowledge that our God, who divided the sea, can break every chain and overcome every obstacle.
