A Prayer for Righteousness and Truth in Judgment
"Before the LORD: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth." - Psalms 96:13

Heavenly Father,
As I come before You today, I am filled with awe at the majesty and authority of Your presence. You are the Creator of the universe, the All-Knowing and All-Powerful God, who reigns from heaven above. In the stillness of this moment, I take refuge in Your Word, and I bring to You the words of Psalm 96:13: "Before the LORD: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth."
Lord, I recognize that You are coming to judge the earth, and with that recognition comes a sense of urgency and responsibility. I stand before You as a humble servant, seeking Your guidance and mercy. I ask that my heart be ready to receive Your judgment. May I approach You with a spirit of humility and repentance, understanding that Your judgments are perfect and just.
You are the righteous Judge, and as You prepare to judge the world, I plead for Your mercy over humanity. Our world is filled with chaos, sin, and injustice, and often we stray away from Your paths of truth. I ask that You open the eyes of those who are lost and lead them back to You. Stir in our hearts a desire for righteousness and truth, and may we learn to live in ways that are pleasing to You, reflecting Your light in a darkened world.
Lord, I pray for our leaders and those in positions of authority. Might they be moved to uphold justice and righteousness in their judgments and actions. As You prepare to judge the nations, let the hearts of our leaders be filled with wisdom, compassion, and true integrity. May they seek Your guidance in their decisions, leading the people not by personal interests, but by Your truth.
As You come to judge, I deeply desire that Your judgments be rooted in righteousness. May we experience Your conviction in our lives, prompting us to turn away from sin and towards the grace You offer. Help us to recognize and own our wrongdoings; give us the courage to confess and the strength to pursue a life aligned with Your will. Holy Spirit, move in us and transform our hearts so that we may seek after what is pure and righteous in Your sight.
Heavenly Father, let us not merely view Your judgment as an impending event but as an opportunity for reflection and growth. As we await Your coming, fill us with a spirit of expectation and hope. May we be diligent in sharing Your Gospel with others, reminding them of Your righteousness and the love that calls us into truth. Let our words be a beacon of light, guiding others towards You before that great day arrives.
May Your truth resonate within us, breaking through the lies that pervade our thoughts and the notions of this world. Teach us to discern Your truth amidst the falsehoods that often dominate our culture. Let us hold fast to Your promises and live a life that honors You, knowing that one day we will stand before You to give an account of our lives.
As we anticipate the day You will come to judge the earth, instill in us a sense of urgency to live righteously, to love truthfully, and to act justly. May our actions reflect Your character as we serve and love those around us. Grant us peace as we await Your return, confident that You will judge with righteousness and that Your truth will prevail.
In the mighty name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
