Prayer of Protection Against the Flood of Deception
"And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood." - Revelation 12:15

Heavenly Father,
I come before You, my heart filled with reverence and awe, acknowledging Your infinite wisdom and boundless love. Today, I lay my spirit bare before You, reflecting on the verse from Revelation 12:15, which says, "And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood." Lord, this imagery of a serpent casting a flood of water strikes deep within my heart and reminds me of the persistent dangers of this world.
In this prayer, I seek Your divine protection for myself, my loved ones, and all those who earnestly strive to follow the path of righteousness in the face of wickedness. I acknowledge before You that the serpent is ever-present, attempting to drown us in the flood of lies, deceit, and temptation. This ancient adversary, cunning and relentless, seeks to pull us away from Your embrace and into the chaos of sin.
Father, shield us from the torrents of negativity that may pour down upon us. Guard our hearts and minds so that we may not be swept away by the flood of despair that this world might unleash. In moments of uncertainty and fear, help us to remain steadfast in our faith, anchored in the truth of Your Word, and guided by the beauty of Your presence.
Lord Jesus, I pray for clarity in times of confusion, so that I might discern the truth amid the serpent's whispers that would seek to lead me astray. May the Holy Spirit descend upon me and illuminate the path that leads to life and righteousness. May I remember that no flood can overtake me if I am founded on the solid rock of Your promises.
As I encounter challenges, may I remain aware of the schemes of the evil one. Help me to respond with wisdom, patience, and love, reflecting Your light amidst the darkness. Empower me not to succumb to the trials that come my way but to face them with courage, knowing that You are my refuge and strength.
Holy Spirit, fill my heart with the fruits of Your presence: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Equip me so that I may stand strong against the serpent’s attempts to drown me in doubt and insecurity. Grant me discernment to see the deceptive waters for what they truly are—to recognize the flood of lies and to stand firm in the assurance that You have already overcome the enemy.
Lord, I lift up to You those who are struggling and feel overwhelmingly swept away by the flood. Breathe Your divine calm into their storms. Remind them, dear Jesus, that they are not alone, that You feel their pain, and that You stand ready to rescue them from the waters of despair. May they cling to You, their lifeguard through life’s turbulent seas.
As the serpent roams like a roaring lion, may we resist him steadfast in faith and remember that we have the armor of God at our disposal. Let us equip ourselves with truth, righteousness, the Gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. We walk with confidence, knowing that Your presence shields us from every flood the enemy seeks to unleash.
Thank You, Lord, for Your infinite grace and protection that is always upon us. May our lives be testimonies of triumph over the floods of adversity. We declare victory in Your holy name, trusting in You alone as our Savior and Defender. In the mighty name of Jesus, I humbly pray,
Amen.
