Each authentic encounter with the Word inspires those who embrace it to share what they have received. Similar to ripples in water, one person's faithful witness can create a community radically aligned with Christ. Matthew 28:19-20 emphasizes this commission: "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations…"

Furthermore, we have the remarkable detail that a "great company of the priests were obedient to the faith." This reference is rich with implications. Priests, typically viewed as the religious elite, found themselves drawn to the simple yet profound message of faith in Jesus. This not only illustrates the power of the Gospel to reach every strata of society, but it also highlights the transformative nature of faithfulness. The priests had the institutional authority and knowledge of the Law, yet they recognized that true obedience lay in faith in Christ rather than the observance of the letter alone.
