In the face of discord and strife, grant me the patience to wait upon You to enact justice in Your time. Just as David chose to spare Saul’s life, I, too, may be called to walk paths of forgiveness and grace rather than vengeance. Help me to remember that the battle belongs to You, and it is through love and humility that true victory is achieved.
Lord, in moments of turmoil, remind me of the cruse of water and the spear that lay within Saul's reach. There will be times when I may feel justified to act in self-defense or retaliation. Yet, let me choose the way of peace—the way of restraint. Let my hands not be instruments of violence but vessels of Your mercy and love.
