Prayer for Boldness in Spreading the Gospel
"And some of them were men of Cyprus and Cyrene, which, when they were come to Antioch, spake unto the Grecians, preaching the Lord Jesus." - Acts 11:20

Heavenly Father,
We come before You today with hearts overflowing with gratitude for Your never-ending love and the grace You have so generously extended to us through Your Son, Jesus Christ. As we meditate on Your Word, specifically the powerful account of Acts 11:20, where Your servants—men from Cyprus and Cyrene—boldly shared the message of the Gospel with the Grecians in Antioch, we find inspiration and courage to follow in their footsteps.
O Lord, we recognize that even in times of uncertainty and fear, as believers, we are called to proclaim Your truth to all nations. The courage these men displayed to speak unto the Grecians, preaching not just any message but the magnificent Lord Jesus, stirs our souls. Grant us the same fervor and passion as we brave the world that seems so often mired in doubt and despair.
Father, we plead for the Spirit's empowerment as we step into our mission fields—whether they are in our neighborhoods, workplaces, or across distant lands. May we never shy away from proclaiming Your Son’s name, as we remember that it is in His name the blind will see, the brokenhearted will be healed, and the lost will be found.
Help us, Lord, to cultivate a heart that seeks the lost and a spirit that echoes the urgency of the Great Commission. Allow us to be vessels of Your love and grace, just as those men from Cyprus and Cyrene were. Inspire within us a relentless desire to share Your Gospel freely, and help us to see every conversation, every interaction as an opportunity to spread Your Word.
Lord, remind us that the Grecians in Antioch were not just strangers to Your message but lost souls yearning for truth and hope. Open our eyes to those around us who are searching for answers, and give us the discernment to recognize the divine appointments You set before us. Let our words be seasoned with love and compassion, reflecting Your nature and desire to reconcile the world to Yourself.
We acknowledge that the world may present many barriers—cultural differences, language obstacles, or fears of rejection—but we declare boldly that no barrier is too great for You to overcome. As the Gospel message transcends all cultural and ethnic divides, may we be unifiers and peace-bringers, showcasing the power of unity through diversity in Christ Jesus.
Lord, ignite a passion within us to pray fervently for those who have yet to hear the Gospel. Just as You used the faithful men in Antioch to witness to the Grecians, arouse our hearts to intercede for those lost in darkness. Your Word is living, active, and powerful. Use us as instruments to carry it beyond our comfortable circles into the lives of those who desperately need to know Your truth.
We also ask, dear Father, for Your protection. As we embark on this mission, cover us with Your armor, as we face opposition, ridicule, or even persecution for our faith, just as Your early followers endured. May the Holy Spirit embolden us, granting us a spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that we may know You better and share the hope we have in Christ with others.
In closing, we offer all our plans, aspirations, and dreams for sharing Your Word, asking that You would bless them abundantly. Help us to lay down our fears and insecurities at Your feet and to embrace the call to be Your ambassadors in this world. Together, we seek to proclaim the Lord Jesus with the same power, conviction, and joy as those brave men did in Antioch, forever changed by the love and grace of our Savior.
Lord, we thank You for hearing our prayer and for the assurance that when we commit our ways to You, You will make our paths straight. We offer this prayer in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Amen.
