Prayer of Remembrance and Courage in God's Promises
"Thou shalt not be afraid of them: but shalt well remember what the LORD thy God did unto Pharaoh, and unto all Egypt;" - Deuteronomy 7:18

Heavenly Father,
As I come before You today, I am filled with gratitude for Your unwavering presence and the assurance that Your promises are true. In Deuteronomy 7:18, You remind us, "Thou shalt not be afraid of them: but shalt well remember what the LORD thy God did unto Pharaoh, and unto all Egypt." Lord, these words echo in my heart, reminding me of Your might and the wonderful works You have done in the past. I ask that You help me remember these truths as I face the uncertainties and challenges of life.
Father, in moments of fear and anxiety, I often find myself forgetting the many victories You have already won on my behalf. Your hand delivered Your people from the bondage of Egypt, splitting the sea and providing a path when there seemed to be none. You are the God who sees us through trials, who liberates us from our oppressors, and who leads us into a land of promise.
Lord, I pray that You instill a spirit of courage within me. Help me to face the giants and obstacles in my life without fear, holding tightly to the memories of Your past faithfulness. Just as You delivered the Israelites from their slavery, I ask that You free me from my fears and the things that seek to bind me. Let me remember the plagues and the great power You displayed through Moses. Let me recall the walls of Jericho that fell and the valor of David against Goliath, knowing that You are the same God, the same Savior, the same protector who walks with me today.
As I meditate on Your Word, remind me, Lord, of the times You have come through for me – the answered prayers, the moments of grace, and the times when I felt Your presence in the darkest hours. Help me to well remember the victories, just as the Israelites were taught to remember their deliverance from Egypt. May I recount these stories not only in my heart but share them with those around me, encouraging others with the testimony of Your faithfulness.
Father, I confess there are moments when I allow fear to overshadow Your greatness in my life. I see the challenges before me, and instead of looking to You, I focus on the size of my problems. Help me to shift my perspective, to look upon the giants not with dread, but with the assurance that You are greater than any mountain I face. Teach me to stand firm, to trust in Your power, and to proclaim that fear has no place when I am anchored in Your promises.
Lord, I pray for those who are struggling to remember Your goodness. For friends and family who are weighed down by the burdens of this world, remind them of Your faithfulness. May they see Your hand at work, guiding them, comforting them, and providing for their every need. Let memory of Your past deeds breed confidence for the present and hope for the future.
As I draw closer to You in prayer, may I find the courage to live boldly for Your glory. Let me be a beacon of light in a world filled with fear and uncertainty, and may my life be a testament to the trust I place in You. Help me, Father, to reflect on who You are and all that You have done, breaking free from fear and stepping into the fullness of life that You have promised.
In the mighty name of Jesus, I pray,
Amen.
