A Plea for Mercy and Deliverance
"And he went out from Pharaoh, and intreated the LORD." - Exodus 10:18

Heavenly Father,
In the mighty name of Jesus, I come before Your throne of grace, seeking Your presence and interceding for mercy, guidance, and deliverance. As I reflect on the poignant account of Exodus 10:18—"And he went out from Pharaoh, and intreated the LORD"—I am reminded of the deep sense of urgency and earnestness embodied in the words of Your servant Moses. It was in the face of adversity, with the weight of Pharaoh’s hardened heart upon him, that Moses stepped out, leaving behind the oppressive presence of a ruler who defied You, and chose to intreat You, the True and Living God.
Lord, I, too, find myself in circumstances that challenge my faith, where the struggles of life loom large like the thick darkness over the land of Egypt. In those moments, may I possess the courage of Moses to approach You—to leave behind the burdens and darkness of my trials and to seek Your face with sincerity and humility.
Gracious Lord, I beseech You to guide me as I turn away from the distractions and constraints of my current circumstances. Just as Moses stepped away from Pharaoh, I, too, desire to step away from anything that seeks to bind or discourage me—be it the voices of doubt, fear, or the chains of sin that cling so closely. May I continually turn my heart and soul unto You, knowing that You are my refuge and my strength.
O Lord, as I intreat You today, I ask that You soften my heart and the hearts of those around me. Just as Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, I recognize that there are forces at work that resist Your will. Help me to understand that even in the hardest hearts—deceitful and proud—Your power is greater. Open the eyes of the blind, and allow the deaf to hear Your call. I pray for those in positions of authority who, like Pharaoh, may be entangled in their arrogance, that they might turn to You, humble and contrite, and seek Your wisdom.
Father, I cry out unto You, imploring Your divine intervention in my life and the lives of those I love. In my petitions, let me be reminded of the importance of persistent prayer—an earnest seeking of Your will and Your purposes. Teach me, Lord, to be steadfast in my intentions, to pursue Your presence, just as Moses did, and to persist in intercession until I see Your mighty hand at work, delivering and restoring what has been lost.
Help me, O God, to rely on Your promises as I navigate through the shadows of uncertainty and fear. Equip me with the knowledge that every tear, every cry, and every moment spent in prayer is not in vain. Teach me to trust in Your timing and Your plans, which are far greater than my understanding. For in my weakness, Your strength is made perfect.
Lord, I surrender my worries and frustrations into Your capable hands. I release my need to control the outcome and instead choose to walk in faith, believing that You are working all things together for my good and Your glory. I ask that You fill me with Your peace that surpasses all understanding as I await Your guidance.
In conclusion, dear Father, I turn my heart toward You with gratitude for the example of Moses and the faithfulness of Your Word. May I emulate his courage, humility, and fervor in seeking You, knowing that when I intreat You with sincerity, I invite Your miraculous power to move in my life.
I pray this in the name of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior. Amen.
